Photographer/Director Robb Long is revered for his ability to not only control light in any situation but is also a master at directing the decisive moment in studio and on location.
Coming from a boisterous family filled with colorful personalities, Robb Long has the ability to appreciate individual moments and the inspiration to capture them. He consistently generates electric images with a flare for the dramatic while capturing the essence of his subject matter in both print and moving pictures.
“I pre-visualize what I want it to look like and then I make it come to life with my camera.”
Robb lives for the electricity of the photo shoot, “the moment I press the shutter the hair on the back of my neck stands up.”
“I don’t go out on the streets, find something interesting to photograph and snap a picture of it…I create the image from the ground up, starting with my vision. Most of my lighting is done in camera….each light I have on set has a purpose, right down to creating the glint coming off a piece of metal or jewelry. I then take that and just give it a little boost in post production.”
